Since Pizza Hut doesn't make pizza like these anymore, we decided to try and re-create them!

Thin 'N Crispy!  :)

These dough recipes are my own, but are based on the great work of people on this forum.  I used Jackie Tran's recipe for the sauce.  To see our work flow and dough management you can check out the video we made:

Here are the recipes:

Hello Sonvolt.

Pizza Hut has several different crust types and they change them from time to time and it can vary from location to location.  But none of the crusts they currently make are good, in my opinion.  In the 70's and 80's, each individual restaurant would make their own dough, but now the Pizza Hut doughs are made at a commissary (i.e. factory), frozen, then shipped to the restaurants to be re-heated and served.  This process necessitates the addition of chemical preservatives, etc.   I feel they have lowered the quality for the sake of convenience and profit.   So that's what I mean when I say they don't make pizza like these anymore.

Oh, yes I know all that. I thought you meant they stopped making their thin crust pizza, which they haven't.

Hey look at that, I already saw your YouTube video. I thought it was really good :)

The one take away from your recipe compared to the 22 oz recipe that pete-zza scaled down to a 22 ounce dough ball is the salt content.  Salt is very subjective.  But your % is 1.8%, while the original is 0.88%.

Anyway, good video and the pictures look great.
