Hey all! Scott here from Scott's Pizza Tours. We're getting back into action after a little pandemic hibernation and looking to expand our team. Take a look and please respond as indicated in the listing if you're interested. You can also view the Craigslist post here:https://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/fbh/d/new-york-seeking-pizza-tour-guide/7340413200.html.

Scott's Pizza Tours is looking for PASSIONATE, PERSONABLE, and KNOWLEDGEABLE guides to lead tours of New York's pizza landscape. You will lead groups of locals, tourists, and pizza professionals on tours that explore the HISTORY, SCIENCE, CULTURE, and TASTE of NYC's rich pizza culture. Loving pizza is a requirement but an inquisitive nature and interest in human-based storytelling is just as important.

Guides will be scheduled for 2-4 tours per week, each of which is ~3 hours long. A NYC Sightseeing Guides License (available through the Department of Consumer Affairs) is required to do this job, but you're welcome to apply even if you don't yet have one.

Our tours are highly rated on TripAdvisor / Yelp and have been featured on numerous media channels. Please visit www.scottspizzatours.com and read up on what we do before you apply.

YOU are PERFECT for this job if you...
--Love food, people, and storytelling
--Are a problem solver / can think on your feet
--Are detail-oriented
--Enjoy learning / asking questions
--Have pizza making experience
--Have visited significant pizzerias in NYC and beyond
--Have a flexible schedule

This job is NOT RIGHT for YOU if....
--You have a short attention span
--You are not organized
--People annoy you
--You know everything
--You have never tried to make pizza
--You are unable to eat pizza

To apply, ***please email a 60-90 second video*** to [email protected] explaining your love of pizza. Please include the following information in your video: your name, where you are from, where you live now, and a brief explanation of your most memorable pizza experience. No need to make it a big production, just be yourself. You can email the video file or a link. That's it!

"The most important element of pizza is the dough. Pizza is bread after all. Bread with toppings." -Brian Spangler

"Ultimately, pizza is a variety of condiments on top of bread. If I wanted to evolve, I figured out that I had to understand bread and first make the best bread I possibly could. Only then could my pizza evolve as well." Dan Richer

I said to my little one, "come here so I can change you".
He said "change only comes from within".  :-/
