to my eye, a good job though we didn't care for l’industrie on the chau tour and matt and I didn't love scarr's. I'd like to revisit those places as they seem to have near universal appeal. It's a little hard to understand how certain slice shops missed the cut:

queens
Lucia
Margherita Pizza

Manhattan
Prince Street
P&M Classic Pizza

Bronx
Ivanas
Sams

I think a lot has changed at L'Industrie since we were there. I think he didn't like how the pizzas were coming out and he totally redid the dough. I think the oven was swapped out too.

When I was driving around more, I listened to a handful of pizza podcasts. Can't remember which podcast, but the owner was interviewed.

Philomena's in Queens is another newer place that looks great, gets raves and seems to be making new lists. It's on my lengthy NYC to-do list.

I'd like to try Suprema again.  We went during the lunch rush and there was too much bench debris on the deck.  It really fouled the pizza.

i recall that too jon, we were recently in Williamsburg but couldnt convince my better half that we needed to have a pre-dinner slice so i could re-taste. nothing for it but another tour!

it irks me to this day i couldnt get scott to consider sal and carmines,  a 3 min walk from mamas. ok, i guess it’s time to let go of that…😊

I really like that he created a section for Revitalists (as I really dislike arguing over whether some revitalist place is 'better' than a classic place).

Jeff, I think our Scarr's sample was hurt by the reheat. I'd really like to try a fresh pie from the oven.

Great to see Sal & Carmine get a little shine. Best spot ever, imho. I always lament the fact that it doesn't get more attention!
