Finally arrived first run pizza.
Any damage or imperfections?  I saw a post or two that had some cracked stone or paint issue.

Did you contact Gozney for a replacement?  They will take care of it from what I have seen online.

Gozney Dome arrived this week and just setup today!
No issues with setup other than cover is only for the dome itself.
With the long winters would really like a full length cover.
Anyone find one yet that will fit?
Will do the curing of the stone tomorrow!

Update:
Got my first curing of the stone done this AM. Going to do three times just for good measure before getting to high temps!
A couple of other thoughts:
Few errors in instructions but not a huge deal.
The wood panels on the lower stand it doesn't say to screw down, but panels do have screw holes and screws are provided.
The ignitor battery says AA in manual, but it is AAA battery.
The gas line out the back will make it tougher to have a full length cover without disconnecting before covering.
I have reached out to a few places to inquire about cost of a custom cover.
Will report back, but definitely want a full length cover for Dome.

First bake:
Preheated to 800 degrees, about 30 minutes.
Cook time was about 90 seconds.
Overall pretty happy but top was a bit more done than the bottom.
May need to preheat longer or perhaps turn the flame down before launching.
So much easier to launch than my Breville is!
Will try some more this weekend.

How is your stone after curing?  Any cracks?  Great looking pizza!

I just got an email that the Dome is going to be available in Spring of 2022.  I will have to purchase something else, that is too long to wait.
Don.

You might face the same issue with any number of oven manufacturers. These supply chain problems are affecting every kind of product, everywhere, unless it's American made. Even then, things can get stalled.
If we're not questioning the reason for our existence, then what the hell are we doing here?!

Has anyone signed up for a Gozney Dome in Spring in the US, but isn't planning to buy one, once it's your turn? I would be interested :-)

Hey Domers,

Iím thinking about getting my son a Dome for his birthday in April as pre-orders open again tomorrow. Does anybody have a wood only oven? If so, does the floor have that silly puck to cover the gas burner or is it a solid floor. Iíve searched for pictures/reviews of wood only and unable to find any. Also, I assume the air flow screen is on the right side for wood, does serve any purpose, it would be nice to get a solid floor, no holes. My son is not a gas person so itís silly to spend the money.

Thanks.

The wood only version doesn't come with the gas attachment, but you can add down the road if you want. So to keep costs down I'm sure they only make the 1 stone regardless of which you order. The 2 unboxing videos I skimmed thru showed a left and a right stone and they both had what appeared to be the same holes. To me they look identical just flipped.  If the wood only model had a different stone and you wanted to add gas later, then you'd have to buy a new stone. That doesn't seem like a smart thing for Gozney to do.  You could always find a shop to make you custom stones, although for an oven this big that would probably add a decent chunk of change to an already pretty $$$$ oven.

The website shows one stone, a 30mm cordierite stone. It wouldn't make sense to have different stones as you bake at the same temp with either gas or wood.

Yep. I would prefer having a solid deck on the non fire side but understand the economics.

They are not.  Quote from their web site:
"The Gozney Dome is no longer on sale to the public.
Exceptional demand from the Priority Pre-Sale has meant that lead-times are now very long and weíve closed for new orders until further notice.
Sign up below to get your hands on the worldís most in-demand outdoor oven and be part of the next Dome drop."

Don't know what the "Dome Drop" is.

Yes, pre-orders are/were open today for people on the original priority list. A link was sent with the option to purchase for a March delivery but only if your email appeared on the original list. I donít know if I will keep it or pass it on but I ordered a dual fuel option.

Edit: just checked the link is still active and accepting orders. Contacting them may be worth a shot.
