Although itís not necessarilty as involved as making pizza, thereís a definite craft to making great deli sandwiches.

For sure.  The bread for tbe deli sandwiches at Bay Cities Italian Deli in Santa Monica is made onsite and itís spectacular.  My second favorite spot, Danís Super Subs in Woodland Hills has their bread made by Agostino Bakery in Oxnard.  Theyíre different, yet perfect in their own way.  Bay Citiesí roll is hard on the outside and it has that beautiful bubbling/blistering, yet itís soft on the inside.  Danís roll is soft witn sesame sedds, but itís never soggy.
