Thick & Chewy was different, and dropped when their Pan Pizza was released, leaving the new Pan and the original Thin & Crispy pizza on the menu. The Thick & Chewy was a typical, moderately thick and doughy pizza crust, common among many low cost pizzas sold today. It's often called American style.

Ah, well then good riddance. Their pan pizza is legendary to a lot of us kids that came of age in the '80s that didn't live near NYC.
