Screens Sticking After Washing

For some reason my pies are sticking to my screens the first time I use them after washing them. I'm drying the bejeezers out of them but it just doesn't seem to help. Only after they've been run through the oven once does the problem go away.  Or did I just name my own solution?

Thanks Peter! Good information, just what I was hoping for.  I did search but was using "conditioning" instead of seasoning.
