Insurance?
« on: November 26, 2006, 09:43:46 PM »
Hello Folks,

Can anyone give me suggestions or ideas for what type of insurance I would need for catering. I assume liability is probably the most important. But I would appreciate anyones thoughts.

My pizza venture has now gone outside cooking for family and friends. And I'm getting some inquiry's about making pizza for company events and such. But I feel I need some type of protection in case something happens.

Thanks,
Tim

I think most insurance companies that handle commercial policies can help you best.  If your are going to have any help at all, don't forget Worker's Comp insurance!

Also, contact a CPA for advice on taxes. I know most people that start small don't think in those terms, but it would be worth the few dollars to get a clear picture of your liability, even if you keep things off the books to start.

Good luck, have fun!
