Map/List of US Pizzerias for Business Research

Does anyone know if there is a free detailed map or list of all registered pizza shops in the US?

I'm doing research for a business plan and my intention for such a map/list is to better understand which areas may be ripe for a new pizzeria. I'm looking for geographic info - for the number of pizza restaurants in each town, city, or county in the US.

I've asked the SBA but have not gotten a reply. There are dossiers for sale that may contain such info but these reports sell for around $500.

Restaurants don't register as a particular kind of restaurant in the US - or even as restaurants in many places, so there would be a good bit of work required in making such a list. Probably something you'd have to buy. Yelp sells lists but it will probably cost you a a lot more than $500. That seems like a good price if the list is complete and accurate.

Even if you had such a list it would be a small part of what you would want to know about opening a business in any given area.

Check census.gov to see what they have.
