I think next day NY slices are the bomb

If there is any left.  I like to put it in a hot pan, cover with tinfoil or a lid until hot.  The bottom crust becomes super extra happy crispy - much moreso than when it is fresh out of the oven.

that is all.

Glad you like it. I often enjoy leftover pizza on the rare occasion that it happens. However NY slices fold, not get crispy.

Floppy!

I've found NY style pizza freezes remarkably well. I just wrap them 2 slices at a time, stacked bottom-to-bottom w/plastic wrap and toss them in the freezer.

My wife when we were dating introduced me to how she would heat up a slice. She would put some evoo in a pan and add a good amount of Italian seasoning to it then put the slice in.

YUMMY! The crust gets a little crunchy and so flavorful from the seasoning and oil.

If you're a fan of the reheat, you can do what pizzerias do. Bake it, let it sit for a bit, then back in for a couple mins. This way you're not limited to whatevers left and don't have to wait for next day.

Always had a slight preference for a house pie slice as you describe here versus a slice from a freshly made table pie. Layers of dough sauce and cheese meld together a bit and less likely to get a blistering hot pull of molten cheese and sauce.

I do enjoy a slice from a pie that came out of the oven 10-15 min ago that doesn't get re-heated

I agree and found this to be true for all types of pizza. In fact, even if I'm going to have it the next day, I'll freeze it instead of putting it in the fridge. Like bread, the fridge does very bad things to pizza.

Me too. I like to taste the evolution of a pie as it goes from hot to warm to basically room temp. The herbs are more pronounced as it cools.
