Whooaa, I just got my 1st bag Sir Galahad since 2019 or so since lots of folks swear on it for making neo-Neapolitan/ Neapolitan style pizza in the pizza oven. I paid more for the 50lbs bag than for 50lbs Caputo 00 blue. SG used to be around 20$ just 3 yrs ago, now it’s 47$ (whole sale!). For the Caputo I paid around 36-40$ a few weeks ago I believe, and I think it was maybe around 30-35$ 3 yrs ago. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me…i mean why does the US flour get 2.3x more expensive while the imported Italian just goes up 10-20% in price?
Same with Italian imported flour Pivetti professional Rosso, almost same price as 3yrs ago, maybe few dollars more at max…

I picked up a bag of Special Patent last week. Used to be around 17.50 and was a little over 24 now.

Stanislaus tomatoes used to under $5 a can. A can of Tomato Magic was almost 7.50.

No Caputo at my local Restaurant Depot. I'm not sure what that costs. I knew prices were going up. I buy so few things at Restaurant Depot that these increases really jumped out at me.

It’s good that your RD actually has KA. We only have Ardent Mills, the AP and bread flours are all bleached, bromated. Kyrol is not but it’s not AP or bread flour.
I once asked my local RD if I could order some Caputo. They said I need to buy 50bags if I order….🤌

Call your local foodservice distributors. Many will sell to anyone at the will call dock. That's how I get Caputo here.

At Dawn it’s still 30 bucks, won’t get it for anything less here at Mile High

I deal with quite a few purveyors that sell both sir Galahad and Caputo.  Sir Galahad is still close to half the price of Caputo, that has never changed.  All flour has just gone up quite a bit.  American-Italian expense ratio is still about the same.

Maybe it’s just in my town.

Don't recall what Sir Galahad was last time in Shamrock's, but Caputo Pizzeria flour was $55.
But you can pay $95 on Amazon and get free shipping.   :o
