Decoding the sauce at John's of bleecker
« on: May 10, 2017, 05:04:33 PM »
Hey guys!
I've recently been trying to recreate the sauce at Johns of Bleecker street in New York City. I started out with 7/11 ground tomatoes and added some salt and sugar. The result I got was interesting but not close enough. Any tips on how I can get closer to johns sauce?

Garlic and oregano would be the obvious things to start with and maybe bit of fresh basil.
Things have never been more like today than they are right now.
