Also I saw a post that you had an experience with very good tomato sauce from random pizzeria that had tomato paste mixed in. Did you try to do yourself at home? How was it?
That must have been an old post. I don't remember it. It's not something I do.

The best canned product Iíve had is San Benito.  Perfecto and Pear Tomato Strips.  Low acity, super bright, sweet, fresh tasting and no calcium after taste.  Perfecto can be used as is - very chunky or can be immersion blended, same with their Pear Tomato Strips.  Next up is 74:40 by Stanislaus, these blend down smooth with excellent fresh flavor with slight calcium after taste.
