Lifting Large Mixer Bowl
« on: April 04, 2022, 02:48:16 PM »
I just bought a 60qt Hobart mixer locally - my only issue is I canít figure out the best way to get the dough out of the large bowl.  I tried cutting in sections and pulling out but it is very difficult.  Wondering if I need a certain tool to cut the dough better or if there are any tricks to doing this so I donít have to lift as much.  I thought about looking for a lift table of some sort but thought I would ask the question to see what others are doing. I know there has to be a way to do this easier than I am doing.  Thanks!

You can try a sharp knife or scissors?

I've never made so much dough at once, but I could imagine that it's heavy work getting it all out of the mixer.  I have a smaller mixer and normally just pinch it off with my hands, but often when I do a high hydration dough I use scissors to cut it.
