I said the same thing when he posted a similar sandwich,  I think a couple years ago. Never worked up the courage to try it though  :-D

I'll try it this week and post it--just need to make some fresh bread as per this thread's gentlemen's rule!

Farm fresh egg salad and equally fresh refrigerator pickles. It's what's for breakfast!

Do you want a little bacon on your tomato sandwich?

My wife loves tomato sandwiches w/mayo. I just thought the bacon to tomato ratio was funny.

It's a crime to ruin in-season tomatoes with bacon.  I prefer basil and provolone.

Tomato, grey salt, and a dab of olive oil for me - with or without bread.

Whats up with the hate for Bacon. It's like, if you have a garden with fresh ripe tomatoes adding bacon is a sin? I  personally like deb415611 BLT, just wanted to make a joke about the tomato to bacon ratio. You guys are ruthless.

Well at some point, after the 50th fresh garden tomato of the season, you might be like 'Hmm, maybe a little bacon might be a nice addition.'

Or, maybe once the season is ending and they need to be picked and canned, he can justify using canned tomato slices on his blt's

It's love for tomatoes.
I had 2 thick slices of large ripe tomato with grey salt and 2 well-buttered small crusty rolls for dinner. It was delightful and I don’t think it could have been improved upon.

Now, this is a sandwich.  ;D

Pizza and Pursuing breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches are my food passions.

I have and used a Breville Crispy Crust, Pizzaque and Bertello Napoli, and of course a home oven range.
