His kids need to take a food service handling class.  Seeing vids of the old man, he seems to be in his own world making pies and not paying attention to what is going on in back of the shop. Maybe his kids don't give crap and are just hanging around for their paychecks. This has been an ongoing situation for a while. I don't understand why he still has a restaurant license with so many inspection failures. Could be time to close up shop and let him enjoy retirement. One thing is for sure, I would never set foot in there.

"workers with inadequate personal cleanliness" says a lot about the mindset at Di Fara's.

In the "food quotes" thread in Chitchat someone posted this:

"If the food tastes good don't ask to see the kitchen."  :-D
When's the last time you ate a salad?

A Go Fund Me page...seriously ?

My accountant , in his early days, had a very busy, large pizzeria/sandwich shop as a client.
The biggest problem they had was finding places to stash the cash.
They filled up safe after safe, set into concrete in the basement.

I try not to count other peopleís money, but I canít believe this is a charity case.

The article is about Popeyes. But after the Popeyes story they report that the NYC Mayor wants to save Di Fara.

People lining up, all hours, morning till night, paying 5.00 a slice, cash, and the daughter says they are broke.
Unless Don has been paying off that mortgage on the Brooklyn Bridge, something is very scammy here.
Maybe the State of NY doesnít accept wheelbarrows of cash to pay taxes .

Lol

That they are broke could explain why Dom kept on working even though he is well into his 80's.

If they can crowdfund their taxes it will prove that the American Dream is still alive and well.

Dom reminds me of the old school Mafia bosses that lived in very modest houses, lived quiet lives, only trusted family,  and  hated to pay taxes on all that cash.

Glad heís reopening, but his reputation will never be the same.
