Craig, I hear ya, but the pizza scene in Austin is getting much, MUCH better than it was just a few years ago. Still not as good as it could be, but...
So what were your impressions of Dough?
It has been a year and a half, but I remember it being pretty good. We had the Nonna's salad which I remember bring very nice. They also had an oak roasted romaine salad (got cut off the bottom of the menu scan) that looked really good. I would get it for sure the next time I went. The took the head lettuce and put it in the WFO to wilt it slightly before dressing.
For the pies, we had the Margherita S.T.G and Arugula and Prosciutto. I remember both being good quality pies. I don't remember the crust being anything special in terms of flavor or texture, but likewise, I don't remember being disappointed either. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures.
I wish I had more detailed memories to share. I would certainly encourage you to go if you are in the area.
