I'm a college student. I went to New York one time as a kid, but I never had their pizza. I've had many people tell me how great the pizza in New York is. There have been times when I thought I understood what New York pizza is, but I'm not sure that I do. What does New York style pizza consist of.
Is there sugar or oil in the dough? Or is it just yeast, salt, water, and flour?
What type of flour would they use? High-Gluten?
Do they toss the dough in the air?
What makes the pizza so great?
What would a person have to do to replicate a New York Style Pizza at home?
