Wild Oats Organic Crushed Tomatoes
« on: January 10, 2016, 04:19:58 PM »
Anybody tried these?  They're available at Super Walmart for less than $2.00 a can, and I really like them.  They're sweet and flavorful, and for me they're just the right consistency (with a little immersion blending to make them as smooth as I want) right out of the can.  Not too concentrated, not too thin.  I've used them a few times now and have yet to be less than very happy with the results.  I don't like to add sugar to my tomatoes, and these don't need a bit for my taste.  Just some gently browned garlic, crushed red pepper, and sea salt.  I would love to hear what you guys think of them; so please respond.  I like knowing how my tastes compare to others'.

I've not seen those, however I don't think I've ever had a can of tomatoes with dry basil that I liked. I'll try a can if I seem them.

I tried them and liked them but didn't do a comparison test.  Shortly that after I found the Sclafani crushed and I've been so happy with those that I stayed with them. Seems I grabbed the remaining can of Wild Oats for non-pizza duty.
