I've read in here before about trying to raise oven temps at home..  i have a natural gas stove that goes up to 500..  then it says broil for the part below.       

         If i turn it on the broiler is that going to make it any hotter? I like a charred crust..  don't mind the black bubbles on the bottom for some reason.
