Balled dough sticking to plastic tubs?
« on: February 11, 2013, 06:37:48 PM »
When I make my dough, I take olive oil and add 4-5 drops to the inside of a new plastic tub for fermenting in the fridge.  I wipe it with a paper towel to coat the inside in a nice thin layer.

After 3-4 days when it's time to remove it, I place the tubs on the cutting board to warm up and rise, and then work the dough to bake.

However, I can never get the dough to cleanly detach from the bowl. It ends up sticking at the bottom and doesn't make for a nice clean detachment.  The bowls are new and perfectly smooth inside.

Any ideas?

I'm using something like this... http://www.dollartree.com/assets/product_images/styles/large/110222.jpg

Use more oil?

I use Pam spray. In bowls of poorer quality than those (Food Lion "Get what you pay for" brand). Sticking not a problem, even in the heat and humidity of NC.

OK, I'll try not to wipe it so thin.  Thx

I'll try some with Pam too.
