Hi Tom.

No need to go through that entire thread, as it was mainly focused on trying to clone a particular Trenton-style pie (Mack's).

It also focuses on Trenton tomato pies and will incorporate most of what was learned in that previous 87 page thread.  :)

The cheese first method started in Detroit using leftover jeep oil pans from the war. It's a deep dish, cheese melting over the sides giving it a crispy, buttery, greasy delicious texture.
