I'm a newbie.....

I just ordered a fibrament (sp?) baking stone online and will soon make my first pie.  I don't live near a great grocery, but can get basically good ingredients at WalMart or Kroger.  Any advice on beginning?  What recepie is a good "intro"?  How much harder is Chicago style than regular style?
