I lived in Bensonhurst for almost 3 decades, and for 1 of those decades I made a living out of making pizza in a few Brooklyn pizzerias right in that very neighborhood.  I was within walking distance to L&B and even closer to Mr Barbati's home and my family still lives there to this day.  I must have driven or walked past his home hundreds of times and never knew he lived so close to me.

Craziness.  So he was killed over his own sauce recipe?

That's gotta be some sauce!

That's gotta be some sauce!

No kidding.

An article I read on PMQ (may have been linked from PMQ) yesterday said a mob associate asked for a sit-down between the Colombo and Bonanno families - at a Panera Restaurant. Really? Gonna work this out over chi lattes and scones?

According to the video their sauce has tomatoes, salt, pepper and oregano.  Hardly a secret worth dying for.

it's a sauce problem not a gun problem that sauce  invoked the kill! at least colonial Sanders keeps his recipe in a safe ! im sure many would die for that one.

Weird the guy gets shot in a bad robbery and some here find it humorous.   I dare not say anything more for fear of getting a PM from Steve.
