A square is always a rhombus but a rhombus isn't always a square, likewise crepes and pancakes.

Crepe batter is usually formulated a bit different from pancakes too. Like baking powder. Which is a pretty big difference if you ordered bread and out comes a tortilla. It is bread of course.
the proof is in the pizza

Semantics yes but not silly at all.

I understand what you're saying. However, I disagree that "a pancake is a pancake thin or thick it doesn't matter". It does matter. Yes, a consommé is just a soup, but is it? Sure a pâté is just some finely chopped liver, but not really. A pizza is a pizza but thin or thick it definitely matters. The logic doesn't play out. This is really just a semantics issue and a silly one at that. We have pancake houses too. International ones. They are sadly not made from crepes.

Actually the logic does play out, because being Deep Dish, NY, Napolitan or any other style, its all pizza right? So it is with Pancakes, no matter the style, be it american, breton, dutch or whatever style...it is still defined a pancake when the batter is created and baked in a certain way. I wasnt the one who made that up btw, its a global definition of what the endproduct is considering its elements and how it is being prepared.

Exemplary
Quote
A crêpe is a thin Breton pancake cooked on one or both sides in a special pan or crepe maker to achieve a lacelike network of fine bubbles.

Apple Zeppole with Cinnamon Whipped Cream (Giada)

Very good, but inferior in every way to these apple fritters https://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=44819.msg448014#msg448014

Easy blueberry cake.

Why is it 'easy' ?

And if you dont mind me asking, was the whipcream an instant product (aerosol whipped cream) ?

I rarely bake anything other than pizza and bread so I used a simple King Arthur recipe. Yes, Reddi Whip.

Sourdough Dampfnudel (Sweet Steamed German Buns)

Inspired by a recent episode of GBBO. I thought these were going to be like Chinese baozi, but the sweet poaching liquid and caramelized bottom elevate these to a whole different league. Served with vanilla sauce.

What is being shown in your second picture above, Bill? I can't make any sense out of it. I am somewhat colorblind, that could be my problem. Otherwise, it sounds and looks delicious.

Dumplings in braising liquid in pan. Hard to see because shot through glass lid. Didn't want to remove lid since that can cause uncooked dumplings to deflate.
