Thanks Rolls, Barry..The pie survived. Used grated milk chocolate. and a drizzle of Hershey's syrup to disguise it.

Looks nice, though I have a friend that would have substituted bacon for the Hersey's syrup

I made and brought sourdough cinnamon rolls/twists for V-day to the office, pictured the one that actually looked right haha, the rest were artisinally abstract.  Also played with trying to make Kouign Amann pastry from sourdough, however, I had the math wrong so used double the butter.  Ended up nearly deep frying the entire pastry in its own butter, so it was like a candied croissant  :-D  To be attempted again next weekend, laminating dough is fun  ;D

Your glaze looks perfect!  Powdered sugar, milk, lemon/vanilla?
All the best, Dave

Thanks!  You are close, it was powdered sugar, home-made cream cheese / mascarpone, milk, and vanilla.

Our sour cherries produced a small, but delicious, crop this year. No jam, just cherry pies. This one is cooling and going to be served later today with vanilla ice cream.

There was a sale on Key limes so I picked up a few bags.  Haven't made this in awhile so it was a good time to revisit.  I made one small tweak to my recipe and the color was much more appetizing.  Lol.   I used a few drops of yellow food dye instead of green and voila!

This one set almost instantaneously as I was mixing the lime juice with the sweetened condense milk.   It set so much quicker than my previous pies.  Not sure why but I will take it. Also I did not bake this one as I did with my previous ones. Cant wait to have a slice.

Here is a cut slice of the Key lime pie.  This pie continues to set up better 2-3 days out.  I would say it's best made at least 2 days prior.

Excellent. I really like the clean cut you put on that. It’s something I pay quite a bit of attention to myself. My wife is fine with that but doesn’t care for me encouraging her to do the same.  ;D

Looks great. I agree it needs at least a day to set and two may be better depending on your tastes.

Have any of you ever made (or had) halva? It’s described as a no-bake flaky sesame candy in an interesting article I just read. I clipped the photo below from the article (link below). It sure looks versatile and wonderful. A forum search for “halva” turned up nothing.

I've had since I was a little kid. You can get it supermarkets and Middle East specialty markets. I'll eat it every once in a while, but do not enjoy it as much as when I was a kid. I like sweet and sesame, but prefer other confections.

Same here. Ate it almost every day growing up.

Nope, but my first thought was "can I replace tahini with other nut butters".  Yup, dozens of recipes out there.  Bet it would be awesome with hazelnut butter, or even peanut butter.  Mmmm.
