Focaccia Col Formaggio Di Recco

This is my first post.  I was wondering if anybody had tried the focaccia col formaggio from Reinhart's book?  I tried it last week with mascarpone, but the mascarpone hardly melted.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Honestly, I've tried it once and it was one of my failures.

Need to try and again and see were I went wrong.

I'm on too many of these boards
