Il Brigante Pizzaria
« on: May 22, 2007, 11:18:22 PM »
Robert Sietsema of The Village Voice says "the margherita ($10) is the city's most perfect evocation of the true Naples style (even surpassing top spots like Una Pizza Napoletana and La Pizza Fresca)".

Any of you eaten here yet - should we believe the hype? :o

The reviewer is probably the owner's brother.  I ate the pizza there and it's quite good - for feeding pigeons.  Except that would be mean to the pigeons.

The crust has the same heavy, gummy consistency as those crackers you put in clam chowder.  With less flavor.  I'd continue describing the rest of the pizza, but you get the gist.
