Escape From NY - Portland OR.
« on: July 23, 2018, 05:44:59 PM »
I had to got into Portland today so decided to grab a quick slice from Escape from New York pizzeria.

This shop has been in Portland for 35 years - last month the local news did a segment on it since it was giving away free slices for an anniversary.

The slice I had was really good, I would say a great representation of a typical NY slice. The owner was nice and when I spoke to him I asked him if he ever posted on Pizzamaking .com --- I don't think he knew anything about it or computers for that matter. Cheese slice was $3.95 I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good slice in Portland.

Yes, as usual I started to taste the crust then realized I did not get a photo first - super crispy (from the BP deck ovens and reheat) - really good.
