6 in 1 28oz cans
« on: July 25, 2018, 05:56:59 PM »
I had a meeting in Pittsburgh this week and was able to visit Penmac for ezzo pepperoni and some tomatoes. This is the first time I ever seen a 28oz can of 6 in 1...maybe it will be easier for everyone to find these locally....

I've been able to get them in 28oz cans for years at my local Italian market in NE Ohio.

You can mail order 6-1 direct for a reasonably price...

I apologize for being a little off target, but it may help...

I have been breaking down the #10 cans of 7/11 for years by freezing the leftover in extra large muffin tins.  Running water over the bottom to get them out.  Double wrapping in heavy cling.  Then placing in a gallon ziplock in the freezer.  Then I have handful sized nuggets of great sauce to use.
All the best, Dave

What name are they sold under at Trader Joe's? I occasionally pick up a few cans of Cento San Marzano there (I know, they are "certified" but aren't DOP) but would like to try 6-in-1.

Sofo's Italian Market, in Toledo Ohio, carries 28 oz cans of 6/1crushed tomatoes plus other brands too. They also sell cheeses and other pizza making supplies.

It is well worth a stop if in the area
