Low carb pizza (new dough recipe)
« on: September 04, 2018, 09:20:00 AM »
Been playing with the idea of bread starters both natural and fast acting yeast.      So Friday I ot a chance to make my first pizza with the new recipe.

All I can say is WOW this is as close to real bread taste and very close to the texture I'v been lookinf for.   It's really close and only way to describe it would be like Domino's crust (real close)

I'll do a few more cooks to get the recipe down before I post it. I want it right before anyone trys it

Now this was baked in an Air Fryer so the bottom didn't get as crisp as I wanted it to but next try in the oven should help this out

If that's low-carb, I'm very excited to hear what's in it.

Believe it or not very little.

I will post recipe once I have it nailed down.    Lets just say the starters I've been playing with have a lot to do with the taste!

Is almond flour still the main ingredient?

Looking good! I'm still working on my Cauliflower/Bread Flour reduced carb recipe. It's about half the carbs of my normal pizza crust.

That is one of the best looking low cab pies I have seen - when someone asks me for a good tasting low cab pizza recipe I usually tell them it would be easier to build a time machine - great Job!

Thanks!   I been adding carbs for this cook, "IF" I did my math right there is less then 10 carbs for the entire 8 1/2 in pizzam   But I did not have sauce for this cook so there were no carbs from the sauce. If a sauce was used it woulb closer to 18 carbs not 10.

But to be honest (as I am a sauce lover) I din't really miss the sauce on this one   :chef:
