i'm new but just call me Gate p.Maker.  don't ask just please do.

i have a question about a pizza that i had years ago.

it was in chicigo and i think it was called upside down pizza. but when i look for a way to make it i get something really different.

the pizza was made like this:
Dough, cheese, sauce, and toppings.

if anyone knows how to do this please let me know.  i'm asking because i want to make for my family and it was by far the best pizza i have ever heard.

Gate P.maker,

It sounds like you are talking about a standard Chicago deep-dish pizza, which is assembled the way you mentioned. If this is what you have in mind, there are a ton of recipes on the forum. You can scan them by going to the index for that style, at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/board,25.0.html.

If the deep-dish is not what you have in mind, then it could be an upside-down pizza such as made at the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co. in Chicago, whose website is at http://www.chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/. If that’s the pizza you have in mind, you might want to take a look at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,2472.msg23427.html#msg23427. If you do a Google search or “upside down pizza” or “pizza pot pie”, you should find several recipes for that type of pizza since a lot of people have tried to reproduce that product.
