Starter/poolish question

Would a bread flour like Better for bread by Pillsbury work better for a poolish/starter than plane flour for texture, tastes and so forth ??

OR is there any difference??

I guess the question is, better than what?

A higher protein content flour will in general perform better in a poolish than a low/mid protein content.
