osteria cotta, UWS NYC, for happy hour!
« on: March 07, 2018, 07:22:48 AM »
recently we tried osteria cotta, 85th and columbus on the uws in manhattan for happy hour (5-7). $1 meatballs and arancini, $3 short rib sliders, $6 neo pizzas(!), wine and beer around $7. The pizza (12 inches is my guess) was very good, a neo/ny hybrid, thin, light crispy crust with good sauce and toppings. The bartender handed me a bottle of olive oil with chili flakes and said it would change my life. It occurred to me to reply "not unless it will grow hair".

anyhow, for $6, can't go wrong with their margarita pizza and the other appetizers are very good. It's a neighborhood joint, not worth a detour but a great choice if you're in the area or looking for an inexpensive meal.
