Monte Carlo Italian Market and Deli
« on: April 27, 2019, 09:07:30 PM »
I was in Burbank the other day with an hour or so to kill; so I Yelped "Italian Grocer" just for kicks, and this place came up a mile away.  It was a find.  I've lived so close to this place for so long and known nothing of it.  They've got a great selection.  Escalon products, including Tomato Magic, 6-in-1 ground tomatoes, a big selection of DOP tomatoes, and even Sclafani crushed by the can.  A huge deli case of imported and domestic Italian Cheeses, meats, etc.   There's are lots of 00 flours, with several varieties of Caputo among them.  There's Calabrian Chilis.  There's Sicilian oregano.  I'm just scratching the surface here.  It was like a pizzamaking amusement park.  Anyone in the Southern California area should pay them a visit.

It is a great little place, I been going there for years.  I used to order my curd from there to pull my own mozzarella.  They also have 28oz cans of  Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes.
