$1/hr.  Worked all summer to buy a Yamaha F335.  Still have it 40 years later.  There's some divots in the rosewood.

The zarria down there block payed me $1.35 hr....I was the prep not... Would ride my Honda trail 70 over there to open up... Maka da dough, grinda da cheese.... Take the opening bank outta da freezer and count it out inta da register... Get into a dough chunk tossing fight with my school chum/assistant.... Oh man, things don't work that way now a days... Great fun. 😎

Thanks to a local Shake Shack manager who had mercy on me, I was able to get a bag of Martinís potato rolls.  They made a HUGE difference.  Theyíre squishy, but they donít get soggy.  I finally nailed Oklahoma onion burgers to my satisfaction!

That's why I buy Martin's Dinner Rolls.  1.5 oz burger is perfect with none of the suffering.

Just had a gruyere, ham and onion tortilla in the nuclear wave! Off to bed after #4  of Country Music by Ken Burns that I've been recording! VERY good stuff! 55 minutes to go.......

The frustrating thing is that Martinís clearly ships them to California, but not to retail stores.  Iíve jib-jabbed with the Shake Shack manager numerous times.  He was very nice to gift me a bag of rolls.  He said he had no way to sell them through the register.  Hopefully heíll figure out a way to sell them to me.  Now that Iíve used them, itís gonna be tough to go back.

I agree, they are my favorite. Maybe they are shipped from the Shake Shack commissary?

I have a quick trip to NY next weekend. I'm going to bring some back and extra to freeze to see how they are after thawing.

this is true 😲

And McD's fries.  I found one under my car seat that a friend dropped 9 years prior and it looked like the day it was born.

How was it? I find that after that long they sometimes need to be re-seasoned.  ;D

McD's fries suck when they're fresh.   It was none the worse for wear.
