Sorry, I know it's not the topic of this thread, but I thought that in English all words' 1st letter, adjective or noun, rooted from proper noun were capitalized  ???
Look at the enclosed pic one is detected wrong from the spelling verification:

For example, american VS American

My point wasn't that it shouldn't be capitalized but rather that it wasn't being used as a noun. That being said, what you wrote is not always true. For example, french fries.

Is "pedantic" capitalized or not?

I realize they have a partnership with the canned spaghetti manufacturer but man-oh-day how much less revolting (ok, not sufficiently) it would have been to show canned pineapple and ďfreshĒ spaghetti. I hope this thing does not make its way to USA. Shudder.

I haven't eaten it, but I'm pretty sure it would jump to the top of the list:

There's a lot of 2 for 1 east indian pizza places where I live. they are cheap quality, overly greasy, thick and soggy. Unfortunately, people here would rather eat the best bargain pizza than have something made with love and quality.  Don't get me started on fresh slice.

Drago's Pizza in Brentwood, NY.

Backstory: I grew up right in back of them during the late 60's/early 70's. My parents moved us to NH where I was "introduced" to (shudder) Greek pizza. Cardboard pizza, IMHO. On the many trips back to NY over the years, we would get a pizza, but not at Drago's, since we didn't go back to that particular area.

Anyway, on the way back from our honeymoon in the late 90's, we swing through the old neighborhood and my biggest desire was for a Drago's pizza. It was absolutely awful. Greasy, the cheese lacked flavor, the sauce was horrible and the dough had no character whatsoever. Conversing with my brother some time later, I told him of our trip there and he confirmed that he had the same experience as well. Multiple times.
I love pizza and pizza loves me.

Jim

I'll stay out of this one.  In highschool, I had a quarterly report card grade of 47/100 in English.

So many over the years but the ones that come to mind more than any other are Pizza Hut and Papa Johns.

Was thinking about what pizza I said I thought was the worst. I've changed my mind. A couple of mine were so bad, after a couple of bites they were tossed in the trash.

an over cooked Tombstone pizza can be prepretty bad. Those 1 dollar Tony's pizzas are right down there with the lowest.

I used to eat an overcooked Tombstone every Friday. I loved them. Itís been years since Iíve had one, I wonder if Iíd still like it.
The worst pizza Iíve ever had was in Minnetonka, MN. We ordered a NY style pizza from a place my mother-in-law liked. It seemed like it was their normal thin crust with extra dough placed along the outside to make it seem like it had a large rim. When you picked it up the crust fell off and was inedible.

I agree with over-baked frozen pizzas. Putting them in a cold oven without waiting for it to preheat was a good trick to jump starting color and flavor. Doctoring them up was fun too. Figuring at least a couple a week (myself) over a 6-7 year period I bet I consumed 600-700 of them. They came 12 in a case and case did not last long with 3 siblings and our friends.

That is awful but funny story about the faux rim!

I ate so many Totino's party pizzas as a kid, they fit right in the toaster oven  :-D

I just did a little reading and it says they sell one MILLION of those PER DAY!?!?

Must be nice!  ;D

Their site says they were selling 500 pies per day in the 50's out of their pizzeria! Wow!

the proof is in the pizza

My brother, who lives in central fl, grew up eating ny style pizza, ordered three pizzas for the kids. We came back after going out for dinner and our kids said they were starving because the pizza was inedible. I got a little angry and scolded them, thinking "entitled NY kids refuse to eat pizza".

My daughter silently handed me a piece, I took a bite and had to spit it out. It was one of the worse things I've ever eaten. My wife, thinking I was overly critical, took a bite and asked the kids where they wanted to go for dinner.

of course, I never told my brother about this but the story does have a happy ending. I put him on the path to good pizza with a pizza screen and dough making lessons. he's already making much better pizza than anyone in his town.

Oh, dear god.
This memory will torment me forever.
It was in a random pizzeria on the Kerkennah Island, close to the east coast of Tunisia.
I have a vivid memory of taking a bite at this crust that tasted like woodchips, and the cheese was even worse. Literally plastic/rubber. The sauce was water with a lil bit of red colorant.
I'm not difficult in life in general, but this was hands down the worst pizza that was ever created. A true abomination.

LOL!

Tombstones are great for doctoring up. Loved them and still do on occasion.

Had a running gag in the family, given their slogan back then...ĒWhat do you want your your Tombstone?Ē

ďAh, gimme some onions, olives, extra pepperoni and the usual bullsh!t.Ē Lol

When life gives you pizza, eat it quickly before other people realize you have it.
