Natural Gas Pizza Party Passione with Saputo
« on: July 14, 2019, 07:23:07 PM »
Figured I would make my own thread. Ordered the Pizza Party Passione Natural Gas with Passione Toscana face.

Had some difficulty setting things up and finding various fittings. In particular a 1/2" to whatever reducer to fit from the regulator to the gas line.

Made my first few pizzas using dough balls a buddy gave me a few weeks ago and I had in the freezer (sorry... Not sure what kind they were). We also used a roller as I let them dethaw in a dough box for several hours instead of in cold water which I understand works better.

Results were as expected.. Bottoms not quite done while tops were well done. Overall for a first try... Edible. Lol. Definitely going to try and find cordierite stone somewhere.

Kids loved them.

Island TBD.. Obviosuly!

Not the best pics due to lighting.. Cant really see the front.

Fittings..
Is that nipple SAE to metric? I had to find one of that type for a Toro mower with a Kawasaki engine in order to change how and where oil drains at oil change time. I had one heck of a time finding one in stock anywhere. Finally, a guy on another forum I’m on gave me a part number and it was then easy to order.

Your pizzas are looking better each time. I have an Ardore and am still learning about controlling the heat, turning pizzas for a balanced bake, getting the bottom done to my liking without torching the top. It’s a fun oven but things can quickly get away from me.

I've made many a "sqround" pie.  :chef:  They eat just as good.

I've given up trying to get them round.

Had the ledger stone installed on my bbq island frame last weekend and should be getting the granite counter weekend after this one. So looking forward to when the oven has a permanent spot.

Cracked one of my Saputo stones as I was removing them to lift the oven. They aren't the easiest to take in and out and seem to be much more brittle than say cordierite.

A pain as the way the oven is constructed relies on the stone being able to touch the side end of a steel base to the middle steel rod as it otherwise sinks in between.  :-\
