Ezzo Pepperoni in Toronto
« on: July 27, 2019, 01:35:02 PM »
There are now at least a couple of pizza restaurants/groups using Ezzo pepperoni in Toronto:

Maker (2 locations)
Pizza Libretto (5 locations)
Blondies

My question is: is there a local wholesaler or retailer where you can purchase the pepperoni anywhere in the province?

Replying to myself....

Found the local supplier. They don't sell to the public but were willing to make an exception.

The only issue was minimum order was 25lbs. I thought about it knowing I'd have to freeze most (I have a vacuum sealer and lots of freezer space) but in the end for a home cook doing five pies a week that seemed like too much at once.

If you live within the city, try visiting Tony's Cheese stand at the Brick-Works farmer's market on Saturdays.  He also carries other pizza provisions that might be of interest to you.

Otherwise, Jesse Tree Fine Foods in Bolton will sell you some smaller quantities of the Ezzo Pepperoni.  They also have Bianco di Napoli tomatoes, fior di latte, olive oils etc.

HAHA, funny to see this thread.... Tony is one of the only people I know who imports the stuff... we've talked before, but unfortunately, I can't get it shipped out east unless I was going to be buying a serious amount. Oh well.  :(
