Picnics
« on: August 02, 2019, 10:13:08 PM »
The wife and I like to go on the occasional picnic. Today's was our first one this summer, waylaid by medical stuff until now.

Besides the meats and cheeses, we had fresh fruit and orange Olive cake.  Beer, Prosecco, and coffee with frangelico to drink.

Anybody else?

Very nice. We don’t do it often enough here but have had a few near the beach on Lake Michigan.

Here’s a little picnic music I enjoy but my wife can’t stand :)

My wife and I used to picnic a lot pre-parentedhood - nyc ballet at SPAC, polo, Tanglewood, Mt. Equinox hillclimb, Limerock and Watkins Glen vintage festivals...  Where heading up to Lake George for a family gathering tomorrow.  So far, I've got some jerky marinating.  I'm inspired to think this through some more.

Cold fried chicken and lots of paper towels is our go-to picnic meal.

My mother always made fried chicken for days at Jones Beach when I was a kid.  Can't beat it.

Love chicken in the boat and some good cheeses warmed in the sun with cold cuts and crackers! My latest favorite is the rosemary olive oil Triscuits!!!
