I have tried to stay out of this (as a vegan)  however, does anyone know that Burger King has had a veggie (not vegan) burger on their menu for over 17 years?  None of these products are going to mean the end of meat... they are alternatives that people can choose to eat or not.  One would think the BK would not keep a menu item for over 17 years if it did not sell.

I didn't know that, though I can't remember the last time I went to BK. I looked at the menu just now and they have it in the salad section the the impossible whopper in the burgers section.

8/15/99.  I took two bites of a Whopper, tossed in the trash and decided I never needed to go back.

Wow, you just had your 10-year non-anniversary. Whoever said the Impossible Whopper tastes just like a regular crappy Whoppper was right. A little bit pastier in texture than the meat version, but other than that, pretty close.

Most of it went in the trash, and I'll likely never go back - at least not until they have another curiosity on the menu.

Hell, that thing is bound for the breakfast menu next. I can see biscuits and gravy, starting with rendered fat from crumbled ‘impossible burger.’

Thank you for the reminder.  It's been too long since I've had liver pate.

I love pretty much all things liver, but......the fresher the better and NOT overcooked!!!

Im thinking BK might add impossible chili to the menu, made from left over crumbled impossible burger patties.

You shouldn’t judge all these burgers by the BK failure.
My Beyond Meat burger cooks up bloody, with a lot more eye appeal, and what I find to be a meaty, juicy, but lighter taste.
Looks just like this, but I smother mine in sautéed onions.

I'm not judging. I'm applying common sense.

Beyond meat = $9.99/lb and good. Maybe very good even.

Home ground brisket = $2.26/lb. and one of the finest foods you'll ever eat.

More than once, I've eaten a bunch of beets and was afraid I had a bloody problem before remembering the beets  :-D
