Getting a new oven
« on: September 18, 2019, 07:32:52 PM »
Hello everyone,

I want to start off by giving a bit of background about myself. I live in Asia(shipping may be a problem?),studied culinary and worked as an intern in a hotel. My goal is to sell commercially at some point. Currently I want to learn and improve and I need a decent oven to practice with.

Im leaning on making NY style or cracker, but also interested in experimenting with other styles particularly neopolitan.

Im having trouble choosing a new oven to start with. I have been mostly looking at local dealers but im open to shipping if possible. My options are:

a. https://www.sirman.com/en/product-list/pizza-oven/stromboli/Stromboli-detail.html
b. https://shop.neumaerker.de/en/products/ovens/pizza-ovens/482/pizza-oven-mini-1?c=278
c. pizzamaster oven
d. ooni/roccbox/napoli (via amazon)
e. convection oven + pizza steel. Problem is, its difficult to find an oven with broiler
f. im open for suggestions

Thank you.

Regarding e, you donít need a broiler for New York style! I would guess that most people on this forum making New York style are not using a broiler.

Forum member vdempsey joined here about 6 months ago. She is very nice and lives in the Philippines. She may have a better idea of what is practical there for what you would like to do.

Thank you Tony for your kind words.

Hi danq10,

I'm currently just using my GE home oven to make my SD pizzas.

Am actually leaning on getting either a Breville Pizzaiolo oven or Effeuno P134H oven in the near future.
Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum and hope to see pictures of your pizzas very soon.
