Cooks Illustrated Deep Dish Dough

Has anyone tried the cooks illustrated recommendations for making a deep dish pizza.  Among other things they recommend using a potato in the dough and par baking it.  I have had a lot of success with some of their other recipes and was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this.  Thanks.
