Why Pizza Hut fell behind Domino's
« on: October 28, 2019, 10:40:24 AM »
I don't care what the next innovation they come up with. After changing the recipe I grew up with and loved, I have no reason to purchase one of their concoctions. Out of curiosity I picked up a pie a few months ago, it was awful. I will go to the local mom and pop's for a better pie.

They both suck.

If I have to go to a chain pizzeria, please let it be Uno's.

I agree. They both are horrible. The last time I tried Pizza Hut after not having it for years and years, I was shocked to see how light the box was when I picked it up. I had to open it to make sure there was a pizza in it. I can remember a time back in the late 1970s and 1980s when a large pan pizza fed our family of four.

recently they "say" they went back to the good old golden days 💰 of making a crispy fried bottom pan pizza... Got lots of offers in the mail...I don't know, 5-6 months ago... Never got around to trying it.

Sounds like maybe you did Nick.... It still sucky suck?  🙈

I actually like Domino's. Bacon and pepperoni....mmmm
They are much better than Pizza Hut or Pizza Pizza (whatever the heck that name is).

It was a moment of weakness on my part. I picked up a thin crust, upon opening it looked promising. The crust was thin and not very crispy, the flavor profile of the toppings was not very pleasing. I should have known better. In the last 10 years I have had 3 PH pies in the hope they had changed their ways. I won't be going back no matter what. Besides, I make a better cracker crust with better toppings as do a lot of the members here.

I tried Domino's hand tossed pizza with better ingredients about a year ago and thought it was deplorable. In my opinion none of the big pizza chains make really good pizza. I'll stick with the local pizza joints and help keep the money here.

I don't go there very often, I prefer to make my own but when I have gone, I get the hand tossed. For the price it's not bad. I know, I am nuts....but I like it.
