Improvise.  I'm sure you have options.   The appliance store screwed up and didn't deliver our range until more than a week after I tore out the old one.   Camp stoves and Cajun cooker.

What's the outside grill situation?
Got any family members that can lend a hand in cooking or bringing something?

Tick, tick, tick, time is running out!

I have 2 kitchen ovens and a WFO, as well as a grill, I have everything figured out but the hardboiled eggs.  15 minutes in a preheated oven at 250, didn't get the water boilng, another 15 minutes at 290 didn't, I am at 340 now.

Cant put a pot on the grill? I'm curious what the eggs are for - deviled? We actually have a fairly new tradition of having "vegetarian chopped liver" earlier in the day as a dip, requiring a bunch of eggs (and a ton of browned onion).

that really stinks.

maybe you can do the eggs in the oven,  my friend does them in her air fryer so I bet the oven works too.  Just as is, no water

Microwave boiled eggs?  An hour in the oven at 350, and they need another 20 minutes.  Baking hard boiled eggs sucks.

I'm an idiot.

"here's an oven recipe  https://www.familyfreshmeals.com/2012/11/how-to-make-perfect-hard-boiled-eggs-in-the-oven.html"

What is the water for?  to transfer heat from the cooktop to the eggs in a uniform manner.  What does an oven do?  Transfer heat in a uniform manner, no water needed.

Glad you got it solved. I meant to heat the water as close to boiling as possible in the microwave then hold at temp in the oven. Baked hard boiled sounds like a winner.  ;D

Annd the kitchen ovens just died.  Almost everything is cooked, but not all.  What the hell are the chances that my (new) ovens and cooktop would both die in one weekend?

Wow, what a disaster. It's like anyone's worst nightmare in a diner preparation scenario.

I'm thinking there must a common cause to all these things going bad at the same time. Very interesting problem. Keep us posted!
