Roberta's Brooklyn
« on: December 13, 2019, 07:00:09 PM »
After several visits to their Urbanspce location for one of my favorite pie's, the Bee Sting, I finally went to the original Roberta's in Brooklyn. Pretty cool spot in a unique area. Excellent service and quality food. I don't usually have white pizza but the Spekenwolf sounded good and was good.

Looks fantastic. Can you identify the toppings?

From Serious Eats: "It's a simple white pizza topped with paper-thin slices of smoky cured speck, creamy fresh mozzarella, earthy mushrooms, and sharp red onions. It's the tiny sprinkle of oregano, though, that totally makes the dish."

I'm going to have to try one of those at home. :chef:

The oregano goes on first so as not to burn in the oven.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll try, but can't guarantee, to avoid burning it.

It'll be safe under the cheese!

so many places to visit, sometimes I feel bad about visiting the same place twice. Still, I'd love to get back there...I don't know how you do it hans! Anyhow, this is the time of year we spend more time in nyc, give a shout if you'd like to meet up.

best,

I'll let you know. Our airplane will be down for inspection until the end of the month, so hopefully I'll be back in February.

Roberta's at Urbanspace Vanderbilt is closer and just as good I think.
