Can I swap out a dough for a different type of pizza

I have some dough balls that I made for American Style pies. My wife has become a fan of Roman Thin Tonda. Would I be able to take my dough ball and use a rolling pin to make the style she likes or will bad things happen?

What you will get will most likely be more like a thin crispy style of pizza, go ahead and do it, I promise you nothing bad will come of it and it will serve as a learning experience for you too.
