Liquid sourdough starter growth
« on: April 10, 2020, 01:28:12 PM »
Have a liquid sourdough starter that I started BUT it never actually grows. It bubbles and you can actually see it ferment but it stays pretty much the same amount no matter what. If it grows it's only a tiny bit when you feed it but I do see activity. Is this normal?  Thanks

What temperature is it at, what are you feeding it, how long has it been going?

If it's bubbling, it is producng CO2. There may not be strong enough gluten to capture the gas and make it rise.

As PNW asked share your feeding routine.
