I love in an apartment with roommates so itís not always an option to use the oven with a heavy steel. I have a Koda 16 coming in September but thatís outdoor use only.

Iíd love a little personal pizza oven or toaster oven with a steel to use in my room. I donít need super high temps I like 5-6 minute golden brown crispy ny style. The b&d 5 min pizza oven says it reaches 625, could that be true? I highly doubt it. If it is than with a stone or steel I could really imagine a crispy ny style would be possible. Iíve also thought about finding a wide toaster oven and trying it with a steel.

Any other indoor pizza ovens you guys recommend? Prob under 300 or maybe 400. I spend all my money on the Koda!

I'm betting a cheap Walmart or Costco run of the mill toaster oven would work just fine for your limited application. I've made pizza a number of time in my son's afore mentioned toaster oven with decent success with thin crust pizzas. I haven't tried making anything close to a deep-dish or even a thick crust pizza in it so I can't comment.

I don't doubt it will exceed the 600F however from the reviews it is unlikely to last very long. If you buy it from amazon then $7.99 gets you a 3 year warranty plan.

I have this setup, the oven can hit 600F+, I remember reading after 550F you can get away with just a stone.

I got this oven for $70CAD = $52.46USD.

How do you like it? What kind of pizzas do you cook in it? Any pics?

I like NP the most but I use the B&D for NY style.

That B&D will do 600F+ so theres no need for steel unless your concern about breaking stones.  I prefer stone over steel if your oven gets hot enough but that's my personal preference.

I've made a Detroit style that turn outreally good too.

I think a have a pic of a American style pizza in the B&D but that was when I just first started baking pies.

My personal opinion the B&D does an awesome job at baking 12 inch pies.  The only style I would'nt recommend for the oven would be NP, other that I think the oven doesn't get as much attention as it should considering the cost and temp range.

After more research Iím not stuck between the 5 min pizza oven + stone or a high quality toaster oven + stone.

I do a lot of baking besides pizza so the toaster oven would be better for that. If I could find a toaster oven with a broiler that would be awesome too.

How crispy does the top of the pizza get on the B D? Enough to brown cheese?

If your using a toaster then I would go with steel. Dood 600F vs 500F.

Hey Caaleb, just made a NY in the B&D and I thought about you.

Sorry I launch with a screen for convenience, next time I'll do a pie without.

Just bought the B&D 5 minute Pizza oven (could not resist the price), but am waiting on a 12x12 cordierite stone for it so I still have not made a pizza in it yet.

Has anyone tried it using the (supplied) "ceramic coated tray" without a stone?   I don't want to use a pan.

TIA
