Cranberries are red, basil is green, and that's one of the prettiest pies I've ever seen!   ;D

Deb's crusts are among the best-looking ones on this forum. I suspect they taste as good as they look.

Properly pickled by the palliative particulars of my previous post, I proceeded to produce a pretend pizza promoting a passel of prerequisite puce products: pepperoni, peppers, and pomme d'amour.

A.k.a. gluten free pepperoni with calabrian chilies   ;D

I stared at this pizza in disbelief yesterday, thinking...Okay, Craig was too pickled which contributed to the paucity of pretty pizza puffiness.  Somehow I glossed over the gluten free aspect.
Is gluten free pretend pizza any good, Craig? I mean, part of me believes it looks delicious, but that crust just immediately looks "off".

It's good so long as you don't go into it thinking it's going to taste just like pizza.

Fair enough... ;D
I have eaten pizza-like concoctions that were good in their own way.

Have you used Caputo Fioreglut? It tastes like pizza.

That's what I used for that pizza. I can't say I've worked with it enough to give it a fair review though.

That pizza was 550 on steel. I've had much better luck with the Fiore Glut in the WFO.

My red ingredient is tomatoes, but hear me out: I tried making sauce with fresh tomatoes for the first time. I got them from the farmers market so they were awesome tomatoes. Early girls, at the rec of the farmer. I made a delicious no cook sauce with garlic, basil, salt, and pepper. I mashed some tomato juices out before blending and then salted them and let them sit to extract more liquid. Otherwise I used the whole tomato. Still pretty runny but good enough.

Unfortunately, it was definitely inferior to good canned tomatoes once on the pizza. It was too sweet and lacked depth of flavor. At some point maybe Iíll try different tomato varieties or cooking them. But most likely Iíll stick with canned.

Love the symmetry of the sausage.  All in all an awesome looking pie.

Had a plan.  Kids diverted it.  I was going to make sausage/.cheese/cherry. But 8yo stole the cherries for his pizza. So he made cherry/pineapple/Ďpepperoni.  We made fennel sausage and these amazing cherry tomatoes we got from the store.
